Muhammad Salam MDEndocrinologist practicing at the Clay Platte Family Medicine Clinic

Dr. Salam graduated from medical school at King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Missouri - Columbia, and his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the University of Missouri - Columbia. Dr. Salam is now currently seeing patients at our Clay Platte Family Medicine Clinic location.

He is board certified by the American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism and the American Board of Internal Medicine. In addition, he has Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (Thyroid and Parathyroid), Certification in Clinical Densitometry (Bone disorders) and Certification in Hypertension.

Dr. Salam has been providing healthcare services in Missouri since 2009. He completed his residency and fellowship training at University of Missouri-Columbia and served as an Associate Professor of Medicine prior to joining Clay Platte Family Medicine Clinic.

Dr. Salam has broad expertise in various areas of endocrinology with special interest in diabetes, insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, low testosterone, bone diseases, obesity, hypertension and lipid problems. He has authored numerous book chapters, journal articles and abstracts. He serves as a member on the panel of experts for the Diabetes Outreach Program for the state of Missouri and has been awarded several designations including Fellow of American College of Endocrinology and Fellow of American College of Physicians.

In his free time, he likes to ride his motorcycle, explore different cuisines and spend time with his family.
